Options
In order to change some global settings of QuizFaber, select the item Options from the Tools menu.
A dialog window will appear as shown in the figure below.
This window allows to change some default settings of the program. They are:
- Initial working folder: This is the name of the initial folder that is used when the user opens an existing quiz.
- Backup file: this option allows to save a copy of the previous quiz file (.XQZ) each time you save the questions. The copied file will have the same quiz name but come with the .QBK extension.
- Save quiz file with password (crypted file) : this option allows to save a quiz with its content encrypted. During saving, a password will prompt, and it will ask every time the encrypted quiz will be opened.
- Default type of question: every time a new question is created, use this type of question.
- Default font: every time a new question is created, use this font.
- Default text format : every time a new question is created, use this text format.
- Always build answers in random order: if this option is ticked, each new question in the quiz editor will have a checkbox ticked with "random order" in the bottom answer panel of the main dialog window.
- Charset : character encoding for a specific language.
- For each language, use the default charset : automatically assigns the charset, based on the quiz generation language that has been chosen.
- Hide introduction dialog: If this box is checked, the introduction dialog will not be shown at the start of QuizFaber and thus reducing the time to load.
- Verify that each question has at least one right answer : uncheck if you wish create a survey , instead of a quiz.
