For inserting multimedia objects (images, sounds, videos), you have four possibilities:

  3. Drag & drop of a multimedia file into the main window of a text box of a question or an answer.
  4. Copy & paste of a multimedia file into the main window of a text box of a question or an answer.

1. Direct inserting (only with images)

As shown in figure below, press the push-button: near the right side of the window, above text box of a question or an answer, then select the image file that will be inserted into the text box, at the current cursor position.

The picture will be shown in text box:

2. Indirect inserting (with all multimedia objects)

As shown in figure below, press the push-button: near the right side of the window, above text box of a question or an answer, and will be shown a new window ("list of multimedia objects"):

After pressing the "Insert" button, a new dialog window appear. In this window, you should select the multimedia object type (image type, sound type...), the file name with the full source path information (by clicking the CHOOSE button) or relative (with regard to the quiz file). See the picture below:

Pressing the button "OK", a new row will be added to multimedia list, as shown in figure below:

3. Drag & drop

The basic sequence involved in drag and drop is:

  1. Move the pointer to the object
  2. Press, and hold down, the button on the mouse or other pointing device, to "grab" the object
  3. "Drag" the object to the desired location by moving the pointer to this one
  4. "Drop" the object by releasing the button

Below is an example of drag & drop of an image file:

and when the mouse button is released:

4. Copy & paste

In order to insert an object, you should first select and copy the object from an external application.

For example, from Microsoft Word, you could select and copy an image embedded in a page. Then, simply select the image and do a "copy" operation (click on "Edit" menu, then select "Copy" item or, more simply, press the CTRL-C keys), as shown in figure below:

Then, in the main window of QuizFaber, when the cursor is on the text box of question or answer and the text box has gained the focus, do a "paste" operation (click on "Edit" menu, then select "Paste" item or, more simply, press the CTRL-V keys).

If you do not see anything, probably that object is not compatible with QuizFaber media types or cannot be transferred as an image.

Not only images can be copied from Microsoft Word, but also: cliparts, wordarts and graphs.

Remember that once the object is pasted into QuizFaber, it cannot be edited and modified because it is treated in QuizFaber as an image. If you wish edit and modify it, you should firstedit the object in an original (external) application (Photopshop or similar), and then "copy & paste" it again, for the second time, into QuizFaber.
